Fall is here and with it comes all the sights and sounds of the season. From pumpkin spiced lattes to candy apples, fall is a great time to make memories with the family.
 
To help you find the perfect event or activity for you and your family this fall, let’s explore all the happenings in and around Santa Clara, from pumpkin patches to fall festivals to Halloween events.
 

Head Over to the Pumpkin Patch at ABC Tree and Pick of the Patch on Benton Street

This pumpkin patch is full of fun for the little ones (ages 2-12) in your family. Featuring inflatables, and tons of pumpkins from which to choose, your family is sure to find the ideal carving pumpkin for this year’s jack-o-lantern!
 
Enjoy add-ons like walk on the water, the duck boats, and the paint ball range as well. Don’t forget your camera, because the pumpkin patch memory zone features lots of photo opportunities to record your memories.

Visit the Great Pumpkin Fest at California’s Great America

California’s Great America loves the advent of fall and offers family-friendly Halloween fun at The Great Pumpkin Fest during the day before the night falls and the Great America Haunt. The daytime celebration includes trick-or-treating with Snoopy and all your favorite Peanuts characters, along with a foam pit, hay maze, and pumpkin decorating, as well as all the regular theme park activities. For older kids and adults, California’s Great America Haunt offers just that after dark – haunted activities galore that promise to scare!
 
Date: Select Saturdays & Sundays September 28th – November 3rd

Get Spooky at Deer Hollow Farm in Cupertino

The annual Halloween Extravaganza at Deer Hollow Farm this year invites families to come in costumes and explore all the event has to offer.
 
This year families can visit the 160-year old working farm  and greet animals in open pens (goats, chickens, sheep, and Luna the cow), enjoy crafts and other activities (sweet spiders, chocolate bat finger puppets, leaf prints, ball toss, touch table, and more), and explore the spooky haunted barns and dark forest.

Date: Saturday, October 26th

Location: Deer Hollow Farm 2250 Cristo Rey Dr, Cupertino, CA 95014

Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Admission: $7. Come in costume, admission is only $5! Kids under 1 are free.
 

Enjoy a Day Picking Apples with the Family

In nearby Watsonville, you can choose your favorite Orchard and pick your favorite apples. Kids and parents alike will enjoy the day choosing and sampling.
 
At Clearview Orchards, your family will find delicious certified organic apples like Gala, Honey Crisp, and Fuji. You can also try the local honey and fresh-pressed cider, and even pick out a pumpkin to take home as well. Or your family can explore Live Earth Farm where you’ll find Pink Pearl, Macintosh, and Gravenstein apple varieties.
 
Next up is Gizdich Ranch where you can pick Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Gala, and Pippin varieties. On Saturdays, they press the apples for juice and they also feature a world class bake shop with amazing pies. Kids will enjoy the apple pops and slushes after an afternoon of apple picking!
